I took the ENA course which help me a lot improving my writing. The similarities between my previous course and this one are I had to do writing entries weekly. These entries were based on the reading assignments in our book and write either short answer or one paragraph the responses relating to what we went over. Additionally, the time frame is the same as I originally took my ENA course during a Spring II session which would have similar duration to this course. One difference is the type of material we would be covering. Previously the material was related to experiences of people balancing life and schoolwork. I see that in this class it is covering areas of poetry which I didn’t cover before.

I am excited to branch out to a new form of writing and expression. I haven’t had much experience even prior to LaGuardia with poetry so getting into it and challenging myself with it is what excites me. Analyzing poems and grasping what the author is trying to express is something I have gotten a good habit from my ENA101 course. That’s why reading new topics in this new format will allow me to apply my analytical knowledge from before.

  1. Hi Fabiana! I did not take ENA but it is good to know that ENA and ENG 101 are similar. I also want to agree on your point that the writing entries we did for ENA and ENG 101 are kind of similar to the tasks that we are going to be doing for this course. However, even if the tasks are similar, I want to agree on your point again that the readings for this course are very different. Despite the difference, I hope that we all can get through with this course and learn a lot from it!
